Makassar – The Language Service Center (UPT Layanan Bahasa) of Hasanuddin University proudly welcomes a delegation of BA Literary and Cultural Studies students from Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT), Philippines, as part of their Summer Internship Program. The program reflects the growing academic partnership between the two institutions and supports Hasanuddin University’s commitment to strengthening international collaboration and cross-cultural engagement.
During their internship, the MSU-IIT students will complete their intensive short summer course and will participate in a special Bahasa Indonesian class program organized by the Language Service Center. The course is designed to develop participants’ communicative competence in Bahasa Indonesia while introducing them to Indonesian culture, traditions, and everyday social interactions.
Throughout the program, participants will engage in workplace-based activities that provide practical exposure to Indonesian language services while enhancing their communication skills through authentic interactions in academic and professional settings.
Beyond developing their Indonesian language proficiency, the internship offers opportunities for participants to experience Indonesia’s rich cultural diversity through various cultural exchange activities. This immersive experience is designed to foster intercultural understanding, strengthen cross-cultural communication, and promote meaningful engagement with the local community.
Through this internship program, the Language Service Center aims to provide a comprehensive professional learning experience that integrates practical training, language development, and cultural immersion. The initiative also supports Hasanuddin University’s internationalization agenda by promoting academic collaboration, experiential learning, and institutional partnerships across Southeast Asia.
